Corlaer Cycling cycles for Paulien van Deutekom Foundation
Last week students of the Corlaer College in Nijkerk cycled to raise money for charity. Under the name team Corlaer Cyling, they cycled about five hundred kilometers in five days.
The charity for which the team raised money is the Paulien van Deutekom Foundation. They are dedicated to raising money for lung cancer research. They do this in memory of the late speed skater Paulien van Deutekom, who passed away in 2019 from lung cancer.
The Corlaer Cycling team consists of ten third-year students along with two coaches. They cycled from Sauerland in Germany to Nijkerk from Sunday, May 21 to Friday, May 26. RiskChallenger supported Corlaer Cycling through a sponsorship. In total, Corlaer Cycling raised 14.5 thousand euros!
